OUR WHY

We believe children are best cared for in families. Every child waiting for adoption deserves the opportunity to become part of a forever family. As the Church, we are called by Christ to care for today’s orphan—children in the foster care system and orphanages internationally.

We believe children are best cared for in families. Every child waiting for adoption deserves the opportunity to become part of a forever family. As the Church, we are called by Christ to care for today’s orphan—children in the foster care system and orphanages internationally.

We believe in the power of being seen and heard. We cherish the gift of having our experiences normalized. And we honor the truth that lasting change begins with us—the adults—not the children. That’s why our first step is to support & help equip parents.

To shift our expectations and perspective, we must first offer ourselves compassion. We need to respond to ourselves the way a best friend would when we fail or when parenting doesn’t go as planned. Our children’s behaviors often stem from trauma—they’re expressing unmet needs. As parents and caregivers, we must become compassionate detectives, seeking understanding rather than control.

This shift often means “lowering the bar” and redefining what success looks like. It requires humility, patience, and the support of others walking a similar path. Through community, ongoing education, and the grace of God, we help families find their new normal—a life rooted in hope, healing, and faith.
